UC Cibola

UC Cibola Alfalfa is a non-dormant variety, released by the University of California. Principal areas of use are: low desert valleys of southern California, southern Arizona southern New Mexico, and Old Mexico

This fine-stemmed variety commonly out-yields Cuf 101 and is becoming popular throughout the low desert alfalfa growing regions, especially along the Colorado River. Good, erect growth habit for quality hay production. Produces well even with high levels of root knot nematodes. This variety is also noted for its salt tolerance, making it a good choice for alfalfa growers in similar climates outside North America.
